StrI can't focus.
I can't concentrate.
I just want to fondle this yarn.
Socks That Rock by Blue Moon Fiber Arts in Lapis (left) and Fire On The Mountain (right) is just soooo soft. Move over Kidsilk Haze, STR is the new knitters crack. Better yet, lets be honest....STR is the new and trendy, knitter's designer drug.
I am a little scared though. I've seen a few blog entries out and about complain about pooling (I'm not one of those knitters that find color pooling at all attractive) But I've been lusting after Fire On The Mountain forever. And believe me, its not at all the colors...its the name. I pretend, in my own little fiber overdosed brain, that the folks at Blue Moon Fiber Arts, named this colorway just for me.  So that I, a fiber addicted, sock knitting obsessed, Deadhead, could have socks named for a Grateful Dead song. (Hey, you, peeps over at Blue Moon Fiber Arts...would you consider some Scarlet Begonias, Sugar Magnolia, Eyes Of The World, or oooooooh, how about some Dark Star? Purty please?)
Ok, I've droned on enough about the Deadie-socks-yet-to-be. How about that Lapis? I had a project in mind for it...but ya know, I just may be a stingy bogart. Hey...I said it was a drug right? And I mentioned being addicted, correct?
Goodness...I just may need an intervention!

*and lets note the picture! Not only did I FIND a way to import pictures AND resize them on this dinosaur of a macintosh, but have you noticed that its about the most clear picture I've been able to take with the wonky camera from hell?  Its gotta be the Deadie yarn....Its gotta be.
