Carla - I'm not sure what part of Syracuse you live in but Knitting Connection on Burnet Ave does carry Addi's and so does Mission Rose Knittery in North Syracuse.

Whoops, just noticed that you came up dry at Knitting Connection last time. Give her a call, she may have them now. Mission Rose definitely has them, I just bought some there last week.

My hands are constantly dry and I often get splits on my fingertips and the tip of my right thumb. On occaision this impedes my knitting, but I've recently found a 3M product sort of like New Skin, that seals them up pretty well. I found it at Walgreens next to the New Skin. Finger splits are fairly common with string players, and some of the guys I work with put superglue on their splits. I just can't bring myself to do that.

I stumbled across your blog while I was doing some online research. I think all of us have, at one time, experienced the kind of attachment to an object you felt for your washer. It's usually not the object itself, I've found, that inspires our "love," but all the memories attached to it.
